After several years of delays due to creative direction from his former record label, personal tribulations amongst other issues has delays Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper Milli sophomore album titled ” Childish ” EP.
Though, ” Don’t Ask Me What Happened ”, where he beards his mind and other issue but did not go too far due to his next project.
Fast forward to 2017, Milli is out with new EP project ” Childish ”, which is 9-tracks blend of trap, r&b and afro-pop sounds. According to Milli, he said that the inspiration behind the project is accomplishing what no one thought he could and not necessarily childish from the literal point of view.
The EP started with the solemn ” For Mum “ which is an ode to his mum (who recently ed away) which he builds into a very bright and inspirational tune. As the EP progresses he flips into heavy trap vibes with ” Flex “ featuring rappers M.I & Ice Prince.
He follows that up by venturing into the smooth afro-pop regions on ” Monica “ and ” Not over you “ and closes it with a bonus t, the hustle oriented anthem ” Work “. Interesting body of work that exudes wide mass appeal vibes and I dare say the kid can hold his own when it comes to singing. Get Childish and get familiar with Milli.
