According to Spesh, D’banj had meetings with Davido’s father Dr Adeleke to seek approval and formalize the plans, and he also promised to link Davido with American music stars such as Kanye West and Big Sean for international collaboration, however, Spesh dissuaded Davido not to put pen to paper.
He was also the reason while D’banj failed to sign Olamide or May D.
